Q : What are the steps involved to get started sending signals?
A : First step is to sign up here. I would recommend watching our video walkthrough located here before continuing. Once logged in, create a system and subscribe to it. Download the zsMT4Client expert advisor and attach it to any chart in your MT4 account. We recommend using a demo account initially. To see the zsMT4Client documentation click here. For a step-by-step tutorial on setting up an expert advisor check out www.forexexpertadvisor.info. Once the expert advisor is configured you can enter, modify and close trades inside the zipsignals account manager. All orders will be mirrored in your MT4 demo account as long as the symbol is available.
When you are satisfied with your testing, let us know you're ready to go live. Or, if you do not have existing clients, your account will be evaluated after 4-6 weeks of trading. Once public, your system statistics will be viewable by all visitors to the site and your clients will be able to subscribe to your systems.
Q : I have never received a working signal, do I have something configured wrong?
A : Check all settings to ensure proper configuration especially Subscription_Id, Broker5Digits and SymbolSuffix. For a detailed description of zsMT4Client EA settings and configurations please see here. To watch a step by step video of setting up the EA click here.
Q : I was getting signals executed in my MT4 Terminal before, but now I am not getting signals, what's wrong?
A : First verify if your MT4 Terminal is checking for signals. Click on the "Experts" tab near the bottom of your MT4 Terminal. You should see "Checking for signals..." and a line of squares over and over as illustrated below.
Note that the signal checks are around 10 seconds apart. This will be the value of the SignalCheckInterval, in this case, set to 10. If you do NOT see the squares or otherwise do NOT see your Experts tab log look like this, then do the following:
The signal check routine can break when you change timeframes on the chart the zsMT4Client EA is attached to. The best thing is to attach the EA on a chart that will be left alone. Many clients install another instance of their MT4 Terminal to run the zsMT4Client EA exclusively. Doing so will ensure consistent order execution.
Q : I get signal execution sometimes but it's not consistent, why?
A : First check if your MT4 terminal is checking for signals as detailed in the question above. If you see multiple "Checking for signals..." lines separated by a few seconds (less than 10) or at the same time, then you might have the zsMT4Client EA attached to more than ONE chart. To eliminate this problem do the following:
Attaching more than one copy of the EA will cause inconsistent order execution. If you are subscribed to more than one subscription system, you may attach the EA to another chart as long as the Subscription_id is different. Doing so will not cause an issue unless you have a US broker. Due to the US hedging rules, if Subscription 1 issues Buy EURUSD and Subscription 2 issues Sell EURUSD the second signal will not execute. To eliminate this concern use a non US broker or use different accounts for each subscription.
