FXCM UK MT4 uses Boston Technology bridging, so some EAs fail if the trade opens with a set TP and SL. Other brokers use Currenex that will do the same thing. Is this a problem for your EA?
Not a problem at all. Our Client EA opens the trade with no Stop Loss or Take Profit, then immediately modifies the order to add the SL and TP if applicable.
Can you subscribe to more than one provider (trading system) and use one account? By putting the EA on 2 different charts?
Yes, you can subscribe to multiple trading systems and attach the EA to multiple charts. Ensure each instance has a different subscription ID. The only thing to look out for are US brokers and the FIFO / Hedging rules. This is only a concern if there is overlap in the currency pairs traded by the different trading systems.
How long has this service been around?
We started development of the trading platform and EA in early 2008. The site has been up since Aug 2008 but was in testing stage. Zipsignals went live Feb 2009.
I have accounts with FXCM and FXDD. Can I trade these accounts? What kind of initial capital is required?
Yes, you can trade these accounts. We have clients trading with as little as $500.
What kind of minimum monthly returns can I expect?
Returns are based on risk or lot size traded. By default the Client EA will open lot sizes based on your balance. See Total / Monthly Return in the "Results" tab for each trading system.
If the capital plus profit is allowed to remain in the account (without withdrawals), does the
system compound and trade on a higher capital?
By default our Client EA calculates lot size from your balance. This will compound when the account grows.
What is the cost of the EA and/or monthly fees?
The monthly fees vary per trading system. See the Monthly Fee column in the "Results" tab.
Can I trade my subscription / EA on multiple accounts? I wanted to see which demo works best.
The system is engineered to prevent subscription sharing. Only one subscription can be used to trade signals on one account at a time. You can remove the EA completely from one account and then you can test in the other. Alternatively, you can purchase multiple subscriptions to the same trading system.

I see on the website there is a 10 day trial period. Does that mean I can try any signal provider for 10 days?
Correct, every system can be trialed 10 days for only $1. After logging in you will see on the "Results" tab the trading systems listed. On the right hand side you will see a "Subscribe" button for each. Alternatively, you can click on the "Subscriber" tab and subscribe from there as well.
Do you have the previous 4 to 6 months trading record for any of the trading systems listed?
We do not have any other information or trading history from what is on the site. Even if we did have account statements or other performance documents we could not verify them for accuracy or validity. Every trade is verified that is entered through our trading platform only. We recommend watching the traders closely for at least 3 to 6 months before risking actual money.
What dealer's quote system do you use? And what platform?
Our quotes broker is FXCM.
What is the Zipsignals Factor?
The Zipsignals Factor is more like a score as it ranges from 0 to 100. The higher the better. It takes the average month return and the max drawdown ratio exponentially approaching 1 for half the value. The other half comes from weeks traded, exponentially, approaching 52. To score a perfect 100, you need to have a 1:1 avg month return to max drawdown ratio (or better) and trade history of 52 weeks or more.
I'm intereseted in subscribing to a trading system. I have several accounts with different brokers. How do I get multiple Subscription IDs (EA IDs) for the same trading system?
There are two buttons on the "Subscriber" tab: "New Subscription" and "Renew Existing". If you want multiple subscriptions use the "New Subscription" button to add, this will add another subscription for the same system but with a different Subscription ID (EA ID). You will need to pay the monthly subscription fee for each subscription as the fee is per account.
Can your EA run on Windows 7 64bit operating system?
We have tested our EA successfully on Windows 2000, XP 32bit/64bit, Vista 32bit/64bit, 7 32bit/64bit, Server 2003 32bit/64bit and Server 2008 32bit/64bit.
What happens if MT4 closes (reboot, windows upgrade, weekend, etc.) when MT4 is restarted will the EA find itself again? Will it get itself up to date with the current trades? Will the EA have to be re-attached to a chart?
The Client EA will remember the trades upon reboot/shutdown/etc. You do not need to reattach it. Of course, any new signals will not be executed until the MT4 Terminal is open and online again. The system will hold signals for 30 minutes before expiring.
When I double click the zipsignals_v3.0.exe file, does it just place the Client EA only in the experts folder of the chosen MetaTrader? Does it add any extra library files or script files or is it just the ex4?
The installer does 2 things: 1) Adds the ex4 file to selected experts folders. 2) Creates a folder in your Program Files folder called Zipsignals Client EA that contains the documentation files. (Also found with a shortcut in your Windows Start Menu) Later, if you want to get the ex4 to another MT4 folder's experts folder, just copy and paste it. You do not need to run the installer (.exe) again.
I'm a signal provider. I want to know if the signals in the trading history are published in real time or when they are closed? I give my signals everyday at the same time and it will be very easy to steal my signals in this way.
Trades are reported on close.
I would like to know how do I get paid for my trading system?
We use PayPal to pay out our invoices. We run the process on the 15th of every month for subscriptions collected in the previous month. If you live in a country where PayPal is limited or not availible, we will pay with AlertPay. No bank wires or alternative methods are availible at this time.
I want to publish my signal service / trading system. How long until it appears on the Results section of the site?
We evaluate trading systems after 4 to 6 weeks of trading. Continue trading your system and we can set it public after the trial period. All the trades you enter will be reported, so no history will be lost.
If I have to pass a testing period, will the history of my trades be removed from your database once my system becomes "Public"?
Your trade history will carry over and is not changed when becoming Public.
